Zane is the captain of our team, a senior, and leads by example. He is at every practice and every game putting in his best effort even when our team is having a down year both in terms of our record and really attendance to everything. He is just happy being on the ice and working hard at practice if we have our whole team there or just 3 players. Zane also takes time out of his schedule to come and help us with other programs at our rink which takes place from 8am to 11am every Saturday morning. Not too many high school students would take the time to help at all let alone at 8am on a weekend so that is why we think Zane perfectly fits what this award is about.
