I very rarely nominate for this award because of it’s prestige, however after reading what the award truly means there is no doubt that Will Martin embodies everything the award stands for. I’ve been coaching at Quincy for 33 years and this is only the 3rd time I’ve nominated a player from my program. After each game, either an opposing coach or referee will compliment Will on his high skill, compete level and how he plays the game the right way. Coaches can be biased , however when refs and opposing coaches alike compliment him game after game, then you know he’s a winner and would be a proud and worthy recipient of the Hobey Baker award , thank you , sincerely Ted Walsh Jr
