Character is the key when selecting the participant for the Hobey Baker Award. Walker represent Character first. Walker did not grow up playing hockey. However Walker understands his role with the team. He is the first to serve penalties, he has given other players his equipment when they were missing items. He encourages every player with no expectation except to hope they play better. Walker has integrity, sportsmanship, commitment and team work.
