Trevor was selected because of his work ethic, the obstacles in his life that he has overcome, his willingness to do anything to help his team, and his coachability. Trevor watched his father die in front of him while they were at the gym working out together over 2 years ago in the middle of his sophomore year and has overcome a speech impediment to be a vocal leader on the team in his senior year.
