Tanner (TJ) Sones has played his entire high school career with the Cherry Creek Bruins. TJ has been the ultimate team player and has done everything that has been asked of him, from playing with various line combinations, playing on the second power play unit and killing penalties.

TJ has a reputation of being very coachable and respectful. He continually solicits advice in what he can do better and takes constructive criticism well. He is a consummate teammate, who is very polite and supportive of his teammates. His coaches all say you don’t have to tell TJ anything twice.

He exemplifies outstanding sportsmanship. TJ served two minutes in penalties in the CPHL season and two additional penalty minutes in the CHSAA season.

Away from the ice, TJ is an AP student at Eaglecrest High School and excelled academically all four year of high school.
