Shannon was selected because of her selfless attitude, her compassion for everyone, and her relentless 100 percent effort in everything she does. She is a great leader on and off the ice. She leads by setting a great example of how to play the game the right way. She plays very hard and aggressively within the rules and rarely takes penalties. She is a complete 200 foot player with great offensive skills and she prides herself back-checking and shutting down the opponent in the defensive zone. She is also a top penalty killer. Shannon is very kind and a great teammate. She is always making sure the younger players feel welcome and appreciated. She really helps our younger players improve by working with them in a caring way to help them get up to speed with the high school level. Shannon plays many different roles on our team and is always willing to help her team with anything needed. No questions asks – all in and ready to go! Shannon always displays phenomenal sportsmanship and respect towards everyone. We are very grateful to coach her and very lucky to have her on our team! We will really miss Shannon as she moves forward to her college career.
