According to his mother Sean had never been a leader on the teams he had played on. Sean started out as a role player but through his hard work, determination and selfless play he has become an invaluable player on the ice – he wins battles in the corners, scores tough goals in front of the net and makes smart plays all over the ice. He struggled earlier in the year understanding the systems and tactics but worked hard to pick them up and has become a really reliable player. Couple that with the fact that he is a terrific teammate – he picks up our young goalie for a ride each week, encourages players that are struggling (and often helping them to keep their cool!) and has been your ultimate team player. He is also a terrific student and captain of the Robotics Team. Earlier this year his family had some financial difficulty but he braved it with grim determination. I am so proud of the way he carries himself and his presence on the team is so invaluable; he might not be the best skater or best puckhandler but every game he makes such an impact both on and off the ice.
