Preston is a character amongst characters. He is a goofy, fun individual until it’s game time. Then its go time! Preston leads all of Massachusetts players in points. He has been captain for three years and is a great inspiration to all of the younger players that surround him. Preston also shines behind the scenes. Preston was the first to step up to help a teammate that was struggling with a personal issue that left him hospitalized. Preston, knowing how important hockey was to his teammate, took it upon himself to write letters and talk to him leading up to the season. Preston asked the coaches if he could have his teammate’s jersey and save it for him for when he got out. The day came where the kid got out and Preston was there with jersey in hand. Preston would travel completely out of his way to pick him up every day and bring him to the 6 am hockey practice. Nothing was going to stop Preston from trying to create the best possible environment for his teammate. Preston has taken the underclassmen players under his wing over the course of the season and it really speaks to his character and the sense of family that bonds the team.
