I have known Owen for 4 years now and even from an early age I could tell Owen had natural leadership skills. Owen is a vocal leader whether he is wearing the C or not. He holds himself and his teammates accountable to achieve team goals. He was elected as our captain during his Junior year by his peers. Throughout that year he was one of the most vocal captains I’ve ever had – talking to coaches, refs, and teammates in a respectful manner. An example of this is when we had our 2022 Tryouts, several players were not able to attend including himself. He was the only player to reach out and inform the staff he would not be able to attend and that he was looking forward to the upcoming season! His open communication skills make him a proficient leader to the Rock Canyon High School Varsity Hockey team and will serve him greatly as he moves on to new ventures in his life.
