Bowling Green | Bobcats | BOYS
This player has fought through so much adversity as he has went through his four years. His family has bleed Bobcat Hockey for over 30 years and his freshman year we were unable to field a team. He started out his career with an injury, a new coach, and a program that was rebuilding. A kid that has known Bobcat hockey his entire life had to watch it rebuild from the ground up and took that very personally to make sure it got back to where it once was. Throughout his career he had dealt with so many highs and lows. He lost a coach and a mentor his sophomore year, Lost a head coach his Junior year to cancer, went through so much adversity with this team that most likely would have shut almost anyone down. Nick continued to push forward, being one of the best players on the ice and off the ice. This year, Nicks senior season, he has been a top point getter every year, He has been named the teams only C, Captain, and has taken on what the true meaning of being a Bobcat Hockey player is. He is a hard working, gritty, never giving up player and he is an even better player, teammate, and person off the ice. He has helped shape the character and culture of Bobcat hockey back into what it once was in just a short three years. He has shown the upmost character on and off the ice and has transformed into a great young man. He is extremely deserving of this award.
