Nettie has been a Varsity goaltender for five years and this season served as a team captain. She has fully embraced her role as captain and has expanded her leadership capabilities through thoughtful contributions and selfless behavior. Nettie has always been a quiet leader who leads by example, but this year she has reached out to her teammates whenever and wherever there has been a need.
Nettie epitomizes what it means to be a student-athlete and a leader in the community. She is a talented student who has excelled in academics while managing a heavy load of AP and college level courses. She is a member of the National Honor Society with a 3.9 GPA. Nettie has also been named an Academic Letter Winner every year of high school. Nettie has a broad range of consistent volunteer experiences including working with our youngest hockey players through the Little Lady Lumberjack program for the past five years. Nettie is a well-rounded person who likes to incorporate fun while maintaining focus on the task at hand. Nettie excels in a group environment with her unique sense of humor and is a true team player. She is a natural leader who puts her heart into everything she does. Nettie is a deserving Hobey Baker Character Award recipient.
