Mitch is a self-made hockey player who has created success through hard work, dedication, and perseverance. He is an Alternate Captain that leads his team by example. Mitch personifies selfless play and a team focus by leading the team in assists. Always at practice and always working hard at every drill, Mitch sets the tone for younger players to follow.

In addition to his character on the ice, Mitch leads in the locker room as well. Welcoming to every new player and a friend to all, Mitch helps bind the team together. He also does the little things that add up. He makes sure that practice equipment is ready and on the ice every practice. Water bottles are always full.

Mitch is also a giver and leader in the community. At his school, he is the president of the National Honor Society and Vice President of his senior class. He also volunteered over 300 hours in high school with events ranging from peer tutoring to home repair to those in need.

Mitch exemplifies the spirit of the Hobey Baker award and will make a very worthy recipient.
