Joe was the heart and soul of our team this season. Joe played High School hockey for the past four seasons and is an outstanding role model to the youth players in our association. My son was a Peewee this season and if you were to ask any of the boys who they would like to model there game after the answer was almost always Joe. He would often contact the boys to wish them luck and let them know he would be watching and cheering for them. A player like Joe comes along once in a generation with his energy, love and passion for the game that spilled over to his teammates and made it impossible not to cheer for him. Joe held himself accountable at all times both on and off the ice and that also had a tremendous affect on his teammates and how they carried themselves. Joe is irreplaceable as a leader and my hope is that someday I have the pleasure to coach another hockey player with his love and passion for the game.
