My name is Duane Klomp, and as the head coach of the Northern Alliance Varsity 2 team of the High Plains Hockey League, I would like to select Jeremy Grove as the recipient of the 2016 Hobey Baker High School Character Award.  Jeremy exemplifies the spirit of the Hobey Baker Award on a regular basis through his commitment, work ethic, sportsmanship and leadership.  Jeremy’s example of leadership through action helps to raise the level of play for his teammates.  He can always be relied on to give his very best effort and not shy away from a challenge.  He is always willing to do what the coaches ask of him without questioning it.  Jeremy is a great ambassador for the game of hockey and any team he plays for.
