Jayda Johnson,
Jayda is my captain that was nominated the previous season before I started coaching at Jefferson. I was introduced with Jayda in July along with the other captains. Within my first 5 minutes I knew I had a leader. Jayda is not only a phenomenal captain but she organizes all of our off ice team events and is one who I lean on to relay all my messages to the team. Jayda is extremely coachable, very active within her community and gives back to the youth which shows her character, commitment, and outstanding sportsmanship which this award is all about.
