Cammie has the heart of a champion. In a season where many of her classmates, friends and teammates decided not to return to the game, she decided to redediate herself to the game. She dove in head first and put in hours and hours of work during the Summer with the hope she would make Varsity and be an impact player her Senior year. As the season started, her game was progressing nicely until tragedy struck. During a home game Thanksgiving weekend, Cammie sustained an ankle injury resulting in an end to her Senior year as a hockey player. She was devastated to say the least but that didn’t stop her from being the ultimate teammate. Her first question was, can I still be around and help my teammates? Once again, Cammie dove in headfirst and helped wherever she was needed. Whether it was helping the Team Managers and Coaches, consoling a teammate, or taking the young players under her wing, she was a positive influence in the face of her own adversity. The selflessness she displayed after her injury is how character is defined and we are so proud to call her a Spud.
