Anika was selected as an alternate captain for this season due to her positive attitude, her skill level and most of all her empathy for teammates. She has worked extremely hard as a high school athlete and continues to look for ways to improve her game. As a fourth year varsity player, Anika has assumed a leadership role on and off the ice. She takes on responsibility and provides a steady influence on her younger teammates. She is also a very good student with a near perfect cumulative GPA. She has been part of three consecutive State Academic Team Championships for the Lakeville South girls team. She is part of the heart and soul of our team this season.
