Willy is an out-of-district player whose private high school is 25+ miles away from our school. He attended every practice, even the late Tuesday night practices when we didn’t get off the ice until after 10 pm. He also attended every off-ice event. He always wanted to know what he could do better so that he could help the team. He openly communicated with the Head Coach about things that were working well and things that weren’t. He was always working hard, and helping underclassmen to work hard so that the team could have more success. Even when things weren’t going well, he continued to remain positive and that rubbed off on the rest of the team. Having
