Trey Thibeault
2018 | Michigan | BOYS
Lakeshore St. Joe | Warriors | BOYS
Over the past 25 years I have enjoyed working with and helping hundreds of students achieve their goals and pursue their ambitions. It is an honor and a pleasure to select Trey for the Hobey Baker High School Character Award as he is one of the finest student athletes I’ve encountered.
Trey is our most skilled Varsity Lakeshore/St. Joseph defenseman and is currently in his senior year. Trey is a true leader by example and always displays a strong work ethic. Trey was also a standout leader and State Champion on his Lakeshore baseball team. Trey’s dedication and commitment to his teams and his sports have never been in question or doubt. Trey was injured playing football in his sophomore year and required surgery so he missed his junior year but came back as a senior stronger than ever.
As for sportsmanship Trey has never displayed inappropriate behavior following a loss or a win. Trey is very competitive and plays every game to win but is humble in both victory and defeat.
Along with a tireless work ethic, Trey is always positive and helpful with younger teammates going the extra mile. He is often first in line in practice drills and never gives less than 100% effort. Trey has always been very coachable. He is respectful to the coaching staff and willing to listen to instruction and learn from coaches.
As a teammate Trey is highly skilled and has a great presence on the ice. He has a great personality and is well liked off the ice. Trey also excels in academics and seems to possess the same work ethic towards his studies as he displays on the ice. He is involved in the community and has served in clubs at school that help those in need.
I am confident that Trey is deserving of this award and in his future he will make a great addition to any team, university, business or organization.
Sincerely,
John Koehler,
LSJ Warrior Coach
