Tanner has been an incredible leader on our team this year. This being my first season with the team, Tanner was the first to welcome me in and support the message I was giving to the team early on. He suffered a potential season-ending knee injury in the 2nd game of our season, but elected to forego surgery & try to rehab and return for his teammates and senior season. While he was out, he really helped develop younger players thrust into his spot & has continued to mentor them upon his return. He is a selfless leader with great character on and off-the-ice and thus worthy of being our teams’ Hobey Baker Award Winner.
