Sean Kefalas has been a team leader since his freshman year. Already having earned the respect of his teammates, he scored the game tying and game winning goals for our team in the final five minutes of our sectional finals, propelling the team to its first title in well over 20 years. However, that was only the beginning. Over his high school hockey career, Sean has been one the most outstanding players in our region, often being one of our top scorers while also being an outstanding defenseman. However, aside from all the post-season accolades he has garnered and pre-season watch lists he has been named to over the past four years, one thing about Sean has remained constant: he has been a leader who has demonstrated modesty, hard work, and a genuine desire to help others. He has been someone who consistently leads by example. He has also eagerly given his time, volunteering whenever our team has done clinics for the local youth hockey program or participated in our annual regional MS Walk, which we do to honor a volunteer coach. Sean has also worked hard in the classroom, achieving High Honors this year. It is for these reasons that I believe Sean Kefalas is of the character that typifies what the Hobey Baker Award is all about,
