Sam came to our team new to ice hockey. He could barely skate, and was far behind the learning curve of his teammates. Sam continued to work tirelessly and took advantage of every opportunity to improve his skills. He rarely missed a game, practice, off-ice workout, etc. He began to quickly develop and by the end of the season he played his position perfectly, making plays on both offense and defense. He continued to work hard every shift he got and was constantly rewarded with praise from his coaches and teammates for always having a good shift. He excels in school as well, boasting over a 4.0 GPA. Sam is a well-liked player in the locker room.
