Looking at the criteria for this award, Sam’s name instantly popped into my head. Coachability, strength of character, integrity, commitment, teamwork, community leadership and outstanding sportsmanship are not just qualities that he has, they are his strengths. Sam comes to the rink every day with a positive attitude and willingness to work hard and get better. Away from the rink he is a model for integrity and spends his time helping youth with hockey, golf and church.
