Sam has been a three year letter winner for the boys varsity team in Austin.  He was a captain this year.  He was a dedicated player and always showed up for practices in season and out of season.  I would describe Sam as a polite, honest and devoted young man.  He is an outstanding student in school and even involved in band.  He battled through adversity this year.  His dad was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer.  I am proud with how Sam has dealt with it and respect him for not quitting or giving up.  Sam truly deserves this award.
