Saber Crawford exemplifies the character and commitment the Hobey Baker Award stands for. He drives two hours each way, multiple times a week, to attend practices and games—never missing an opportunity to improve or support his team. Saber is an engaged learner, constantly asking thoughtful questions during and after practice to better his understanding of the game.

He’s the first to step up and help teammates when they’re struggling, always putting the team’s success ahead of his own—even if that means sacrificing his own ice time. Saber’s selflessness, work ethic, and dedication set a powerful example for younger players who will follow in his footsteps.

Both on and off the ice, Saber demonstrates exceptional character, leadership, and sportsmanship. He is a player every coach dreams of having—driven, humble, and team-first in every sense.
