Ryland is a 4 year player for the varsity hockey team at Marshfield. He led the team in scoring as a junior. This season, his senior year, he is the team captain. He is a very good player, but an even better person off the ice. He is a good student as well. he is a great leader, both with his voice and leading by example. Through our 1st 7 games he was our leading scoring, averaging 1.5 points per game. During a practice before a key league game, he hurt his knee. He ended up with a torn ACL and Meniscus, cutting his senior year short after just 7 games. He has continued to help the team, being on the bench for games and is at every team lifting session. he is the perfect choice for our team to be the recipient of this award
