Ryan has been a steady defenseman since joining the team as a sophomore. He rarely gets beat one on one. He is a quite presence in our locker room, however when called upon leads by his play on the ice. Ryan plays the game the right way, and for as physical of a game that he plays, he almost never takes a penalty. Ryan also has rounded out his game as a senior and has provided offense from the blue line. Ryan never seeks attention or credit, however, is well deserving of both, hence his being named our Hoby Baker award winner.
