Leaders demonstrate commitment and confidence. They show unwavering support for their teammates. They communicate effectively with coaches and officials. They stay positive when faced with adversity.  They lead by example, share equally in victory, and take responsibility for their own mistakes in defeat.  They never, ever give up.  

Most important, they recognize that they are a part of something much bigger than themselves.  

Although we had a number of players who exercised these attributes, Ryan Kimbrough did so consistently throughout the 2015-2016 hockey season and is deserving of this year’s Hobey Baker Award.
