Owen has always put his team and love for the game of hockey before anything else. Rids was signed up as a defenseman for the Knights and with a couple of weeks left in his inaugural season let us know he was really a forward. He never complained one bit and once he was moved up, he took off from there. He showed up and continues to show up with a smile on his face every single time we see him. Owen is the first player to calm his teammates on the bench or locker room and is instrumental in getting their heads back in the game. He’s consistently giving 100% on and off the ice and is a pleasure to have as a Knight.
