Owen McHugh is a once-in-a-lifetime athlete at Milton High School. Unbelievable academic student and member of the National Honor Society. A three sport athlete, best player and team leader on the high school football, hockey, and baseball team. On his way to one of the top higher education institutions in the country to play both football and baseball. Most importantly though, Owen puts the success and well-being of his team and teammates above his individual accolades. He is the rare highly talented and gifted athlete that is not only hardworking on the field, ice, and in the classroom, but he is humble and doesn’t brag about it. He genuinely cares about people and goes out of his way to help not only teammates and family members, but people across the community of Milton as well. He volunteers his time. He stops to have conversations with young youth athletes in all three sports and answer any questions they have for them. All of these various aspects of Owen’s life, personality, and work ethic truly speak to the strong character he brings and carries with pride to athletics as a whole, but also his education and relationships with everyone he comes in contact with. To me, Owen McHugh is a true representation for what this award stands for!
