Nolan was a member of the Archbishop Williams varsity hockey team as a junior, but mostly as a practice player. Regardless of his role, he worked extremely hard every day. Coming into his senior season, there were questions about whether or not he would make the team. But again, Nolan’s work ethic allowed him to make the team. Playing time was not guaranteed but with his hard work he became the 4th line center. He maximizes his minutes whenever his number is called and he has 5 points in a limited minutes, at mid-season. But his impact goes far beyond points. His hard work and positive attitude is infectious. He leads by example and has earned the coaching staff’s trust in shorthanded situations. Nolan’s leadership and character are vital to the team and the team culture that we value at Archbishop Williams. He is the epitome of the term character for a high school student-athlete.
