Nick recently joined the team as a junior and has stepped right in as a major contributor and is among the leading scorers on the team. More importantly, though he was not awarded a ‘C’ or an ‘A’ on his jersey, Nick has been a leader both on the ice and in the locker room. He has gained the respect of his new teammates, is always positive with the younger players, corrects inappropriate behavior, is extremely coachable and shows a genuine love for the game. Because of our needs, Nick was moved from forward to defense for the season. Even though he has not played defense in the past, he understood that the move was best for the team and he took it on willingly.
