Michala is a very self-aware player and teammate, someone who leads by example both on and off the ice. Always the player you could count on to provide younger players with extra instruction or support. As coaches, we never had to try and figure out how to “get her goingâ€_x009d_ – she was always the hardest working, most engaged player on the ice. She wastes no time making excuses, instead she is committed to getting better every day. It was evident to anyone who watched her play that she internalized the importance of doing the little things right, and holds herself to an extremely high standard. She is a fierce competitor. The legacy she is leaving on our program is one of determination, resilience, hard work, and a team-first mentality.
