Meryl stepped in for our jv and backup varsity goalie when she was diagnosed with Leukemia. We only had 2 goalies so we were not sure what we were going to do when Meryl stepped up and said she would finished the year in net. Meryl had played goalie one time back in 12u and didn’t like it so we weren’t sure what to expect but Meryl worked hard every day practicing with both the jv and varsity teams and competed hard in every game even earning a shutout against Northern Lakes!
