McGarity Harper over is High School hockey career has demonstrated a high level of play and has been named to the MVHL All-Conference 1st Team in 2015-16 season and 2nd Team in 2014-2015 season. For his senior year McGarity was named the team captain. His integrity is the foundation of his leadership and maintains a commitment to outstanding sportsmanship and a positive attitude on and off the ice. This season the Oakdale coaching staff challenged him to be more of a play maker first and make the players better around him than just a goal scorer. He demonstrated his coachability along with the talent, confidence and determination to make it happen. Off the ice McGarity is very involved with the community. He is active with collecting donations for the soup kitchen and blankets for the local homeless shelter.
