Mazy had an outstanding 4 year Varsity career with the Eagles. She’s been our best penalty killer for three years, contributes offensively, is versatile in the lineup and is hands down the most responsible and best defensive winger we’ve ever had.

The coaching staff felt Mazy was the perfect choice for this award due to her character and commitment to the team first. She’s the most consistent player we’ve ever had regarding effort, attitude and compete. She lifts up others around her to improve and succeed. She communicates well on behalf of the team and solves issues before they become problems. She advocates for herself and teammates, but never complains. She plays through illness and pain whenever she can if it is for the betterment of the team. We can’t say enough great things about Mazy and how deserving she is of this award. Her teammates voted her as a Captain for two years for good reason. With her graduation, there will be huge skates for others to try and fill in the role she has played so well for this team for four years. We wouldn’t have nearly the success we’ve had without her character on and off the ice.
