Matt embodies all of the Hobey Baker High School Character Award  qualities, and this is why he was selected by me and the the coaching staff this year. He Is a very mature young man. I am sure he will go a long way in life because of his ability to work through problems and because of the ways he helps his teammates remain positive and focused during critical points of the game.

Matt makes every effort to maintain a positive attitude. He possesses an excellent work ethic, and a will to succeed, no matter how difficult it can be at times. This is part of his overall character. This is why we honor him this year.
