Matt has matured into a tremendous leader on and off the ice.
He is not the vocal type, but when he does speak he keeps it short and to the point.  His actions speak louder than his words. This season he is playing alongside a fellow senior and a freshman.  He has taken the freshman under his wing and their line has become one of the more productive lines we’ve ever had in school history. He is always pushing his teammates in a positive manner and always keeping his teammates focused on the tasks at hand in order to achieve our overall team goals.

In practice Matt is always working hard. His pace is always at game speed.  He is fortunate to have an excellent skill set which he has worked very hard for.  Combine the skill with his work ethic and pacing in practice it is no surprise why he has been so successful on the ice.

Matt is a young man with integrity, character, desire and good morals. It’s been a pleasure having coached this young man over the last four years.
