Matthew has grown since the start of his high school career. Not only on the ice but also into a great young man, prepared to move into his collegiate journey. Matthew is a natural leader and leads by example in all aspects. His ability to put a smile on the face of his teammates, coaches, officials, opponents, and the community members here in Greenfield. You can often find him helping the youth hockey ranks, with on ice instruction also, officiating USA Hockey youth hockey games. His integrity of the sport of hockey is proven by his willingness to be the best teammate he can be, along with dealing with adversity throughout his high school career. As a coach, you want all student athletes to be as coachable as Matthew. That stems not only for games, but also practices, bus rides, and all the small details it takes to be a captain.
