Matt has been a 4 year varsity player for his Oliver Ames High School Hockey program.  In those 4 years Matt has not only shown growth in his ability to play the game of hockey but more importantly has grown in the respect of the game.  Matt has shown leadership for his team over the years and this past season was chosen by his teammates to represent them as their captain.  Matt is respected by not only his teammates but by the program, community, referees, coaches and the school administration for the commitment he displays not only on the ice but off the ice.  With this years team that was full of young players, 9 Freshman, he showed his patience, understanding and hard work to make sure that the team was all onboard on and off the ice at all times.  Matt will continue his work when he leaves OA High School and becomes a member at the college ranks.  Matt has earned my respect as a player and as a young man.  I wish him well.
