Matt has been chosen as a co-winner of this award because of the following reasons. His constant positive mental attitude, team first attitude and is a pleasure to coach.  He always shows good sportsmanship by consistently demonstrating respect for his teammates, the coaching staff, game officials and his opponents.  These qualities demonstrate a very clear illustration of his love and respect for the game of hockey.

Additionally, Matt is very active in have community by volunteering for several charitable organizations throughout his high school career.
