Matt is a selfless, committed team captain that leads fellow players by his example.  As an underclassman he was willing to change positions to be more valuable to his team.  He seeks  and heeds advice, criticism and coaching which he implements to maximize his contribution to the team.  He is supportive of his teammates and helps provide a positive atmosphere on and off the ice.
