During the time that I have known Ms. Coomes, it has become apparent to me that she is a strong example of a quality young citizen who is committed to academics and athletics, as well as, growing in her professional life while also helping others. Margot has demonstrated her leadership both on and off of the ice in several ways. She is very hard working and is a motivation and inspiration to her fellow teammates. Margot aspires to become a Division 2 collegiate lacrosse player and has also excelled as a Varsity level swimmer, diver, and hockey player for the past 4 years. Margot displays hard work and an extensive amount of dedication to reaching her goals of becoming a collegiate lacrosse player while pursuing a pre-medical degree.

Margot is a role model to her fellow teammates both on and off the ice. She always displays such a positive attitude, which allows her to approach and overcome any adversity that she presented with, with a glass half-full outlook. Margot understands the hard work and dedication that goes into being a successful student-athlete. She has found the balance it takes to maintain good academic standing as a senior at Osseo Senior High with a 3.94gpa. She also volunteers part-time with different athletic organizations where she gains experience working with the youth in our community. Finding this balance with academics, athletics, employment, and volunteer opportunities has really helped Margot grow as an individual and understand the skills and dedication that are needed to be successful as she begins the next chapter of her life and having such positive attitude like Margot displays each and every day will allow her to be very successful in anything she puts her mind to.
