Maia Donnelly started playing organized hockey later than most players. She was a figure skater who, while she continues to figure skate, turned to hockey later than most players. Her limited experience did not keep her passion and intensity at bay. Maia’s hard skills and talent have always been undeniable, but like so many other players, she battled the mental part of hockey, struggling to shrug off a mistake or doubting herself.

Maia is a stellar example of someone who has chosen to overcome their personal obstacles and persevere. She is full of grit and determination. We are proud to recognize the player Maia is today – someone who is coachable, full of integrity, dedicated, and confident.
