Maddie Schertler: Maddie is quite simply the backbone of our team. Maddie may be the strong and silent type in the net and in the locker room, but when you get to know her, you come to find out she is an incredibly bright, conscientious, and dedicated young woman that has mastered the art of leading by example. She has been hugely important to this team for years and can make the difference for us in any game with her focused play and determined attitude. Maddie is wonderfully talented and disciplined and will be nearly impossible to replace. Maddie, thank you for the thousands of shots you’ve blocked, the dozens of games you’ve helped us win, and the love, leadership, and support you’ve given your teammates over the years. You will be greatly missed.
