Madeline serves has played defense for the varsity squad since the 8th grade. This year, her senior year, she has been tasked with playing as a wing to bring her playmaking abilities to the net front where she has successfully been generating needed goals and assists for the team. She misses playing D but she understands playing the role you are asked and tasked to perform. She was again elected by her peers and coaches as the team Captain this year after serving as the only Junior elected to Assistant Captain last season. She is in the top three of her high school class academically at Aberdeen Central and was elected to serve as president of their National Honors Society club this year. She was elected to the Homecoming Court by her classmates and helped her Varsity Volleyball team make it to consecutive Class AA State Tournaments. She works with kids at a school operated daycare in the summers and plans to attend St. Thomas University to study neuroscience the fall after graduation where she has been accepted into their honors program. She plays a very clean and tough game. Constantly scanning the ice to make plays and is a positive voice for her teammates and underclassmen. She has been a leader on and off the ice.
