Lukas is a Senior defenseman for us who during the fall, suffered a concussion during a fall league game. When Lukas was brought to the hospital, he had severe bleeding on his brain and had to spend several days in the hospital relieving the pressure. As a result of that injury, Lukas was unable to participate in contact sports this year. Lukas has continued to be a member of team, participating in practice when able, helping to mentor and coach the junior varsity, and dressing and supporting his varsity teammates on the bench during games. He has truly displayed the spirit of Hobey Baker during this difficult season for him and is deserving of this award.
