Lily Aamodt, a senior defense, was chosen for this award for our team this year. As a head coach, I have witnessed Lily embracing the values of character, excellence, a love for the game, and sportsmanship. Lily has stepped up as a captain and true leader of our team this season, making good choices and standing up for the right things even when it is difficult. She is a team first player and displays much joy for the game both on and off the ice. She is respectful to both her coaches and teammates alike.

Lily is very defensive-minded and has helped carry our team in that way. She is an excellent skater, has a good shot, and can carry the puck end to end. She makes smart plays on both ends of the ice and does not stop working, despite being exhausted at times. When she is on the ice, I have full confidence in her play.

Academically, she is an outstanding student, earning top honors, and is the Marshall School Class President.
