Leo Tompkins epitomizes what the Hobey Baker Character Award is all about. Leo entered Northern High School’s team as a freshman with very little hockey experience behind him. It was through his love of the game and his positive determination, that he has become a role model for the players around him. His outstanding character and energy made it easy for the team to root for him as his experience as a player increased. Leo never gives up on a play and always pushes himself to be an asset to the team. It is for these reasons that Leo was chosen to be the team’s Alternate Captain in his senior year.
