Lauren was selected to be a recipient of the Hobey Baker Award due to the character that she consistently displays both ice and off the ice. On the ice, she is a coachable individual who is consistently doing what is best for her team and supporting them. She is committed to giving her best effort and always is encouraging while motivating her teammates in a positive manner. Lauren’s character and integrity consistently show through as she follows through on commitments and can be counted on to accomplish any task assigned. This year she also displayed great leadership helping plan and participating in an event where members of our hockey team helped younger students at a local school experience ice skating. They helped the students get skates on and skate at an outdoor rink, some for the first time ever.
